WHAT: On Friday, December 6, 2019, it was good food, lots of fun and learning more about the man who calls himself, "Just a creole kid from Houston."
LaMonte' French, Lester Marks and Winston Contemporary Art Owner, Kevin C. Watson invited 40 people to WCA for a first-ever sit-down dinner with an artist whose works are on display at the gallery.
French, Marks and Watson pulled from their Rolodex's and invited a mix of artists, art collectors, friends and family for the special event. " It was a diverse crowd and we wanted people to enjoy a different kind of atmosphere while seeing French's exhibit, Samson's Song" said Watson.
The trio hired celebrity chef, Michael Gabriel to prepare a vast array of scrumptious foods including a to die for pumpkin soup. Sommelier, Charelle Grant paired each course with a delicious wine. Among those in the crowd, Gerald and Anita Smith, Gaynell Drexler, Cathy Reynolds, Amy Murchison, Singer, Grace Gibson, Judge Elaine Jefferson, and husband Attorney, Dwight Jefferson.
The exhibit, Samson's Song, is on display through December 31st.
