WINSTON CONTEMPORARY ART'S NEW SERIES "A CONVERSATION WITH" KICKS OFF WITH GREENLEAF STAR, LYNN WHITFIELD & SINGER YOLANDA ADAMS

 

WHAT: On Thursday, November 14th, Winston Contemporary Art kicked off its new series, "A Conversation With" featuring Lynn Whitfield and Gospel Singer, Yolanda Adams. Adams interviewed Whitfield on a wide range of topics including her journey in film and television, being a single mom and her Southern roots. Whitfield also answered fan questions about her fiery character, Lady Mae on OWN NETWORKS hit show, Greenleaf to the audiences delight.
 
Whitfield raved about the current exhibit at WCA, The Problems We Still With by Artist Rico Edwards. Edwards received major kudos from the crowd. Whitfield spoke on the importance of arts in schools and supporting up and coming artist.

 

The evening culminated with Whitfield receiving a Congressional Proclamation from Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
 
The Problems We Still Live With is on display through November 17th.
